I am in love with this homemade ring holder made out of a book...
And how fabulous that the rings are kept safe inside! Here is an easy DIY for you if you want to create something like this out of a vintage book for your wedding.

Aren't they just pretty all on their own? However, they look fabulous with a bloom in them too. I have a handful of these lovelies, but I think I need to add more to my collection ;-)

{Purchase Peek: Beige Bed}
Good morning loves! So tell me ~ how was your weekend? Mine was lovely ~ productive and fun. And I told you on Friday that I would be attempting to uncover some fabulous finds ~ well I certainly WASN'T looking for this...
...but it was so fabulous I just HAD to get it ;-). Plus, it was the best bargain EVER! I mean how fabulous is that curved foot board? Eeks ~ I love it! And while you can see some of it's detail pieces are broken or missing in the pictures (on each panel of the headboard in the center....noticeable in the 1st and 3rd picture a bit), I was lucky enough to get all of the broken and missing pieces. Really, I can't believe that the lady took the time to keep them, put them in an envelope and give them to me when I purchased the bed.
The only other things wrong with the bed is it is missing a wheel on the foot board, and it has a bit of a crack on one leg on the headboard ~ but these things are easily fixed. I can't wait to give it some TLC...which is all it really needs. And let me to you my dears ~ I have bunches of TLC to give ;-)
Also on Friday I told you I dream of white linens ~ can you imagine this bed with white linens and lots of pillows...perfectly dreamy, no? And perfect for a boudoir session!

{Inventory Inspiration: Red Bistro Table and Chairs}
Yippee it's Friday! Oh how I heart Fridays ;-) And speaking of hearts, which are almost always colored red, it reminded me of the lovely red bistro table and chair set that I have. Here, have a look-see...
Fabulous, no? However, I must admit that red is not my favorite color. So when I was thinking of how I would style this to soften the red, I was dreaming of white linens. Let you in on a little secret ~ I dream of white linens a lot ;-)
Anyhoo...in looking for an inspiration picture I was keeping white linens or something similar in mind. So you could image how elated I was to run across this picture...
The perfect inspiration, don't you think? Exactly what I had in mind. See how the white linens soften the brightness of the red, and the addition of chair cushions make it really inviting. Hmm, just might have to pick two of those up!
Now I can say I L-O-V-E my set ~ in all it's red glory! Hope you have a lovely weekend my dears. I am hoping to uncover some fabulous finds this weekend! I will make sure to share if I do ;-)

{Homemade: Framed Button Heart}
Happy Homemade Thursday my dears! I wanted to share a quick homemade project that I thought is cute and simple to do. Also, it gives you a reason to pick up some smaller picture frames too ;-)
Anyhoo, have a look-see at this darling little detail ~ a button framed heart...
A cute decor idea, no? And don't you just love that it's hanging from ribbon? Such a fab idea as well.
To make these all you would need is a frame, burlap, buttons and a glue gun! I would get the burlap in place in the frame first (you could always use some spray adhesive to make sure it lays flat and stays in place). Then I would lay out the buttons to form the heart to make sure size and spacing are right, and then I would just glue them in place. Easy peasy ;-)
Styling Tip: I think using your last name initial would be cute too. However, you could also use these small frames on the tables. Instead of making a heart, write out the table number using buttons. And if your frame is slightly larger I would use them as chairback decor and spell out bride and groom with the buttons! Ahhh so many ways to use...

...about vintage clocks!
I am loving this collection of vintage clocks, aren't you? Especially the ones with the bells on top! I adore when they are used as decor at events or photo shoots. And you can always make an impact, like above, by grouping them all together.
Styling Tip: I would use these as table numbers for each table ~ just set the time to the number the table is and viola!

{Star of the Week: Yellow Stool}
Happy Monday loves! I am starting off this week on a bright and sunny note ~ great way to start the week, no? And I thought the perfect piece in my inventory to do just this would be my oh so fabulous yellow stool! Here, have a look-see...
Not sure my pictures do it justice! However, it is a fabulous accent piece ~ either next to another table with some flowers and details on top, in a seating arrangement, or even a place for people to sit while in a photo booth area...with a vintage quilt as a backdrop would be darling.
Styling Tip: This stool would also be the perfect place for the cake!
Definitely a piece that adds a little sunshine to my day ;-) Here's to a fabulous week my dears!

{Star of the Week: White Soda Crate}
Happy Friday loves! I am tickled that it is finally Friday, as my Great Aunt Millie (who is 86) and I plan to go see a matinee today ~ Midnight in Paris ;-) It's been quite a while since the last time we went to the movies...granted every Wednesday night is still girls night, but we haven't gone to the movies in too long!
Believe it or not I have a point here with all this movie talk ~ a couple of weeks ago I did a post about using a soda crate as a popcorn holder...see where I am going with this? Yes, I plan on getting popcorn at the movies, which of course made me think of this crate...which in turn is why it's my 'Star of the Week'. Whew, you still following me? Eeks, I hope so ;-) Anyway, have a look-see at my lovely white soda crate...
There are SO many ways, beyond a popcorn holder, in which you can use this crate. I adore it standing up and used as a cubby, and even flipped with its bottom up (hehe) and used as a cake stand! And I just have to tell you that the crate is perfect...not slanted like it looks in the picture ~ it's the ground that has a slight slope here ;-)
Styling Tip: You could also use this crate to hold cocktails! Just fit your glass in a square and have your servers serve them up!
Cheers to a fabulous weekend! See you back here on Monday...hopefully with some new finds that I can share with you.

Last Thursday, I showed you how to make a homemade handkerchief table runner...well this week I have a 'Homemade' project for you that is just as easy ~ handkerchief bunting! Have a look~see my dears...
It's as easy as stringing some twine, and pinning on handkerchiefs with clothespins. Told you, easy! And look how fabulous it is...
Oh yes, I most definitely am in L-0-V-E with this homemade project! Aren't you? And I must say ~ love the table and details too.

{Purchase Peek: Chart Holder}
I don't know that I can really call this a 'Purchase Peek' as I didn't purchase this fabulous item. No, this item was free on the side of the road! However, I would have most likely purchased it anyway as I haven't seen a chart holder quite like it...loving the blue color. Here, have a look-see...
It even has the metal hooks still to hold the charts. But I think this is the perfect piece to hold a sign, don't you? Eeks ~ there's a handful of other possibilities that come to mind as well...but you'll just have to wait and see ;-)

And the cake, styling and details! I love that the cart is being used for the cake...

{Homemade: Table Runner}
Oh boy do I have an easy 'Homemade' project for you today my dears! One of the simplest ways to use vintage handkerchiefs is to make a table runner out of them. Here have a look-see...
To create, just place the handkerchiefs so that they overlap a bit and viola!
L-O-V-E this idea. Such a fabulous and easy way to decorate the table, don't you think? And it is a darling idea for a bridal shower or baby shower.Styling Tip: For a wedding you could also use one major color of handkerchiefs per table (pink, purple, blue, yellow), and instead of having table numbers on escort cards - have a color, or you could even use colored cards and have guests names written on them.

{Styled: A Small Table}
It's the perfect piece to use for your cake table...
Don't you think? Ooh, I do.
Styling Tip: For the photo it looks like the cake was moved all the way to the front of the table, however, nothing else is needed if you move the cake and the flowers to the center of the table. I think it would be simply perfect!
Yet, you could also add other desserts to the table, pretty china plates and vintage forks would look lovely, and the addition of a doily or piece of lace would be fabulous as well. Plus, a small table like this works perfectly as a welcome table, a favor table, an escort table, a guest book table...lots of options really!

{Star of the Week: Mint Crates}
I am excited that today is Tuesday! Why do you ask? Well, my cousin and her hubby leave for New York early this morning ~ which means I get to puppy sit Gus! There is just something about a puppy that is so fabulous, no? I just might have to share a picture of him and all his adorableness. Oh, and I hear he is a good cuddler too!
Anyhoo, enough puppy talk and on to the 'Star of the Week' this week ~ mint crates! I have two of these lovelies, as you can see...
And while they are very similar on the outside, they are different on the inside. However, they are the most perfect shade of mint green EVER! Yet, I do have to tell you that these crates are solid and quite heavy. I was surprised at how heavy they were when I had to lug them all the way to the car.
Goodness, there are so many ways to use and style these pretties, that I don't even know where to start...as I have bunches of ideas swirling around in my head! And I am sure you too could think of a handful of ways in which to use as well. And because they are so versatile and such a fabulous color ~ they were an easy pick for the 'Star of the Week' this week.

Oh and do I have some plans for this lovely piece...you will just have to wait and see ;-) But here are a couple hints ~ think planter and organizer.
Hope you lovelies had a fabulous weekend. I am looking forward to a great week here at OTMVR, as I get to see all of the pages of the website design this week...YIPPEE!

Okay, I know what you are probably thinking ~ what's so special about corn holder trays? Well if you think about the size of corn, then you can start to see how these little trays could be so fabulous to be the 'Star of the Week'...
They are the perfect size to hold macarons! Also, cake pops, cookies, mini cupcakes, etc... not to mention a handful of other useful ways to use that are non-dessert related ;-) Tell me loves, what would you use them for?

{Repurposed: Wood Soda Crate}
In last week's 'Repurposed' post I showed you a soda crate used as a caramel corn holder for a dessert table ~ well for this week's 'Repurposed' post I figure why not show you another way to use a wood soda crate at a wedding! Fun, no? Yet, I am sure I will be showing you lots of other ways to use them as time goes on ;-)
So today it's all about repurposing the wood soda crate to be used for an escort area at a wedding. Have a look-see at this darling escort area...
Here the bottom of a soda crate is being used to hold key chains and names for seating. And while I know this is just one crate, a handful of them would sure look fabulous all lined up!
And how darling is the idea of key chains as escorts? I love that each key chain represents a different table...so find your name, and your destination. L-O-V-E it! Here are a couple more closeups for you...
It looks like simple, small, gold screw in hooks (something like these) were used to hang the key chains from...however, small nails and pushpins would work just as well. And just think of all the options of things you could hang or pin...like keys! Oh, you bet your buttons I am loving the creativity here!
