{Styled: Oil Lamps}

Ahhhh Friday at last!  Yowza, what a week this has been.  Oh that's a good yowza by the way ;-)  Just busy, busy, busy.  However, I did get some great news today - my business cards for Over The Moon were mailed on Wednesday (so they should be arriving very soon), and OTM's website is going to coding in two weeks ~ WEEEEEE!  I am squealing with delight...kind of like the pig in the Geico commercial going weeeeeeee all the way home!  OMGoodness, if you haven't seen it click here...weeeeee.

Okay, now that I got that outta my system I can get to this post.  Earlier in the week I posted the 'Star of the Week' which were oil lamps.  And I also told you I would be using them in a little photo shoot of a table design that I was putting together ~ well here they are...

{Styled: Wooden Crates}

One of my fave ways to use wooden crates...

As a cake stand, of course ;-)  Eeks ~ and do you see the custom labels?  Interwined...are you serious?  LOVE it!

Styling Tip:  You can always use one of the crates on a table for the cake too, and it would look just as fabulous.

{Star of the Week: Oil Lamps}

Well my 'Star of the Week' choice was a no brainer for me this week!  Why, you ask?  Well, all week long on my wedding blog, Luna and Chloe Weddings, I am recreating a table design using these lovelies...

{Homemade: Table Runner}

Oh boy do I have an easy 'Homemade' project for you today my dears!  One of the simplest ways to use vintage handkerchiefs is to make a table runner out of them.  Here have a look-see...

To create, just place the handkerchiefs so that they overlap a bit and viola! 

L-O-V-E this idea.  Such a fabulous and easy way to decorate the table, don't you think?  And it is a darling idea for a bridal shower or baby shower.

Styling Tip:  For a wedding you could also use one major color of handkerchiefs per table (pink, purple, blue, yellow), and instead of having table numbers on escort cards - have a color, or you could even use colored cards and have guests names written on them.

{Star of the Week: Glass Corn Holder Trays}

Okay, I know what you are probably thinking ~ what's so special about corn holder trays?  Well if you think about the size of corn, then you can start to see how these little trays could be so fabulous to be the 'Star of the Week'...

They are the perfect size to hold macarons!  Also, cake pops, cookies, mini cupcakes, etc... not to mention a handful of other useful ways to use that are non-dessert related ;-)  Tell me loves, what would you use them for?

{Homemade: Salt Cellar}

Oh do I have a darling and easy peasy DIY for you today.  Move over plain old salt shakers, there is a new lid in town!  A zinc one, and it's been filled with pretty pink salt...

Not only is this the perfect way to use those lids from the mason jars, but it will blend in beautifully with your vintage table decor!  So much better than your plain old salt shaker, no?
